No, we are not. MAGMUG is an original product. We at Gym and Beyond came up with this idea and original design. We manufacture MAGMUG overseas and and fulfill the orders from our location on Long Island, NY.

When used correctly*, MAGMUG’s magnets are safe for your tech. By correctly, we mean placing the items within the designated compartments and not placing them directly against the magnets on the back or bottom of the caddy.
Generally, small magnets are harmless to modern tech. Although our magnets are strong for our use case, it takes much larger and stronger magnets to damage a phone or any electric appliance. Furthermore, we use shielded magnets, that have much weaker magnetic pull on all sides except one they are facing.
That being said, we urge you to exercise common sense and consult a medical professional before using any items containing magnets in the proximity of medical devices (like pacemakers etc.).

Please note, our products utilize magnets to securely attach to metal surfaces. However, as any magnets do, they can only attach to ferromagnetic metals—this includes iron, nickel, cobalt, and some alloys. If a regular magnet can stick to it, so can our products. Conversely, if a regular magnet does not adhere to a surface, neither will MAGMUG.
